Square Subscriptions
Multi-Deliverable Campaign
My role: Creative Director
The Square Subscriptions overview video was based on a concept of “connected fulfillment”. We achieved this by moving the plot from one scene to the next with each character passing on a narrative baton of fulfillment needs. Square Subscriptions allows each character to meet the otherwise stressful needs of their everyday lives simply and swiftly. From a yoga studio to a coffee shop, and finally to a home’s front stoop with waiting monthly wine and pet subscriptions, we were able to hit on our major verticals while telling a charming story. All in the service of proving that just about any business can start a subscription business with Square Subscriptions.

Creative direction
The production agency, Vidico, my in-house copywriter and I collaborated early on to bring the concept to live through storyboard iterations. As well as through casting and prop details.

Scalable asset deliverables
While shooting the video, we also asked for a shot list of stills so that we could use them for marketing the subscriptions program. These assets were used for an email campaign to promote it to business owners.

Final deliverable
The outcome of the video was well recieved as it showed many features of the subscriptions program in one short story. By doing this it allowed us to execute within a tight budget while delivering an engaging way to show the product benefits.
